Michael recently returned from India where he joined a team of doctors to give medical aid to remote villages near Puri,Orissa. After volunteering, he travelled south to Kerela and Goa. Michael Evans is a versatile West Coast artist who works in traditional Fine Art media and digital photography.
He regards both these image making processes as extensions of his sense of vision. He uses his camera to enhance vision, recording what is seen and how it is seen.
The flexibility afforded by using the digital camera as a creative tool is enormous. The process of drawing can often lead to a decision to pick up a camera, and the study of a digital photograph, can lead to a decision to start a drawing or a painting.
